Installation

Products from Polvin Fencing Systems come in modular form. An easy lightweight clip together system which makes the installation process relatively quick & easy. To help reduce the overall project cost many of our customers choose to self-install. We have provided a brief overview on the installation of a picket fence. Please note, we do also supply a fully comprehensive installation manual with each order.

No nails, wires or screws makes Installation a breeze!

HERE’s HOW

GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES

  • Polvin picket fencing materials (posts, rails and pickets)
  • Stringline
  • Shovel or manual hole digger, for posts
  • Spray-can marker paint
  • Quick-set concrete
  • PVC adhesive

STEP 1

Mark out fence line using a stringline tied between pegs.

STEP 2

Mark the positions for the post using marker paint, then dig the holes so the bottom rail will sit just above ground level.

STEP 3

Install the posts and secure them into position with concrete. Leave to set overnight.

STEP 4

Working on 1 section at a time, fit 2 horizontal rails into the pre-made holes in the posts. Then slide the pickets into position and secure pickets with PVC rod by sliding it through the pre-drilled holes.

STEP 5

Finally, secure the caps onto the posts with PVC adhesive.

Builders tip:

To ensure your posts are completely straight, use a post level before you cement them in.
