Products from Polvin Fencing Systems come in modular form. An easy lightweight clip together system which makes the installation process relatively quick & easy. To help reduce the overall project cost many of our customers choose to self-install. We have provided a brief overview on the installation of a picket fence. Please note, we do also supply a fully comprehensive installation manual with each order.

HERE’S HOW
FIRST GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
Polvin picket fencing materials
posts, rails and picketsStringline
Spray-can marker paint
Shovel or manual hole digger, for posts
Quick-set concrete
PVC adhesive
STEP BY STEP GUIDE

STEP 1
Mark out fence line using a stringline tied between pegs.

STEP 2
Mark the positions for the post using marker paint, then dig the holes so the bottom rail will sit just above ground level.

STEP 3
Install the posts and secure them into position with concrete. Leave to set overnight.

STEP 4
Working on 1 section at a time, fit 2 horizontal rails into the pre-made holes in the posts. Then slide the pickets into position and secure pickets with PVC rod by sliding it through the pre-drilled holes.

STEP 5
Finally, secure the caps onto the posts with PVC adhesive.

BUILDERS TIP
To ensure your posts are completely straight, use a post level before you cement them in.
